Brian D. Green, CPA, FHFMA
Brian has focused primarily on the healthcare and not-for-profit industries since joining the firm in 1991. He graduated with honors from Midland Lutheran College. Brian is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Nebraska Society of Certified Public Accountants, and is an active member of Healthcare Financial Management Association. He has served the Nebraska Chapter of HFMA in officer and board of director capacities including leading the chapter as President in 2000

Within HFMA, he has successfully completed the requirements to be certified as a Fellow and has recently been awarded the Reeves Silver Merit Award for outstanding service to HFMA. Brian has lectured on various healthcare topics throughout Nebraska and Iowa. He is also active in other civic and social organizations.

Brian has served various healthcare and not-for-profit organizations, including multi-unit healthcare systems of all sizes, skilled and intermediate nursing facilities, home healthcare agencies and rural health clinics. He has been instrumental in all phases of the audit, accounting and consultation processes associated with these types of entities. Brian's other relevant experience includes:

• Consulting related to obtaining appropriate Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, including preparation, review, negotiation and settlement of cost reports
• Critical access hospital reimbursement consulting
• Freestanding/provider-based rural health clinic cost reporting
• Financial forecasting, budgeting, and feasibility studies
• Preparation and review of IRS Form 990
• Internal control reviews
