Roger E. Thompson, CPA
Since joining the firm in 1981, Roger has primarily
provided services to healthcare industry and not-for-profit
clients. He became a partner in January 1992. In addition
to audit and accounting, Roger provides the following services
to the firm's clients:
- Extensive consulting in the area of Medicare and Medicaid
reimbursement
- Financial forecasting and feasibility studies for tax-exempt
bond offerings
- Certificate of Need applications
- Corporate reorganization and restructurings
- Strategic planning
- Consulting on unrelated business income issues and planning
- Valuation services
- Merger and acquisition planning
- Evaluation and negotiation of managed care and third-party
payor contracts
- Operational reviews and enhancement
Roger has been actively involved in a number of professional
organizations. He is a member of the American Institute
of Certified Public Accountants and the Nebraska, Iowa,
Illinois and South Dakota Societies of Certified Public
Accountants. Roger has been an active member in the Healthcare
Financial Management Association (HFMA) . He has successfully
completed the requirements to be certified as a Fellow.
Roger has served in all of the officer positions in the
Nebraska Chapter. He was most recently awarded the Medal
of Honor, the highest individual award granted by HFMA,
for his leadership and commitment to HFMA and the healthcare
industry.
Roger frequently provides presentations on a wide range
of healthcare and not-for-profit topics throughout Nebraska
and Iowa. He is active in various civic and social organizations.
